To further pursue my Master's degree was a personal decision for me to make as i have done my Bachelor of Hospitality Management abroad, I realized that I need to give more value to myself to be able to excel further in my future career.

As a Hotelier it was not an easy decision for me to make when deciding to select IPMI Business School to pursue my Master's degree as I rewind my memory back to 2009, there were few other reputable school in Jakarta that was on my list of option, but then I realized that only IPMI which can offer me the knowledge I needed and delivered by the real expertise in Business World.


During my study in the Executive Development program, the most prestigious lesson I got was to learn to manage my precious time between work and study, and to be able to learn from other school mates from various business background has enriched not only my knowledge but also my network in the country. Following my graduation from IPMI I have been consistently rewarded with better career opportunities and increased responsibilities. These rewards are direct result of my expertise in being focus to drive result and championing the right change needed to deliver the target and it is the result of being able to apply all what I learned from my time at IPMI Business School. Therefore, I would strongly recommend to everyone who would like to pursue their dream further in life by learning from the best which is IPMI Business School.

Alumni Book Review: Sales Warrior by Eloy Zalukhu | Founder CAPSTONE Consulting

On Saturday, 27th July, IPMI was honored to welcome Eloy Zalukhu for his book review partnership with us. He is the founder of CAPSTONE Consulting, a sales expert trainer and motivator. After 15 years of experience as sales trainer, he wrote a book titled “Sales Warrior”. Through his experiences he realized that there are a few things that are really significant to sales.


The book explains that there are three particular ‘weapons’ of a sales warrior, the first one is The Spirit of Sales Warrior second is Customer Centric and third is Powerful Sales Techniques. There was also an explanation on how to handle an objection and many tips to boost your sales. Inspired by his own life experience, he founded a social foundation called ‘Bridge of HOPE Scholarship’ with aimed to provide education to 1000 Indonesian children. He said that all the efforts that he is currently doing, is the way to return all kindness he received from God.

“After 30 years of waiting, finally Jakarta has its first Mass Rapid Transit. Although it is now only 16 kilometer, MRT Jakarta is able to reach their milestone of 100 thousand passengers daily. MRT Jakarta is reputable for 100% punctuality. From the departure time, commuting duration, and arrival time. The punctuality itself is what attracts people to choose this public transportation and change their style of mobility” said William Sabandar, the President Director of PT MRT Jakarta.

PT MRT Jakarta received three mandates from the Government of Jakarta, which are infrastructure, transportation operation, and also business development. The next phases of MRT Jakarta was also spoken by William, phase II will be started this year, phase III is planned to begin in the upcoming year. Coordination and collaboration with other parties are cruical for the success of MRT Jakarta to not only commuting people but also becoming a public lifestyle.

William also stated that people change and become more discipline in using public transportation.

Case Writing Workshop

On Wednesday, 17th July, IPMI Case Centre held a workshop called “Introduction to Case Writing” which was conducted by, Mr. Derry Habir, IPMI’s Case Centre Director and IPMI Faculty. In this workshop, participants were introduced to how to make good study cases. More than 60 people were present at the workshop.

Future Leader Academy by Students x CEO


Student x CEO is a student community among campuses that focusing on creating an events where they can be a pioneer in terms of bridging college student to receive knowledge and corporate insight through seminars. On Saturday 3rd August, IPMI was honored to held Future Leader Academy 2019 successfully in IPMI Campus. “Excellent Future Business Leader in Digital Era” is the Annual Summit theme for this year.

Not only students from Jakarta and surrounding cities, but students from Universitas Soedirman and Universitas Brawijaya also participated in this event. The Opening ceremony commenced with a speech from Prof. Aman Wirakartakusumah,Ph.D as the chairman of IPMI International Business School. Followed by a seminar in managing financial risk analysis of Start Up Company was also delivered by Prof. Roy Sembel, Ph.D.


Session was continued by Adi Purwantio, Bukalapak’s Product manager who explained about fantastic product and how to build it. He stated that being a product manager does not only requires us to build the right product but also to build the product in the right way. Then, the next session was fueling industrial revolution 4.0 growth through big data monetization by Muhammad Izza from Eureka. Eureka is a start-up company that conducts business by taping data from telecommunication company to be processed and used according to their client's needs. How to not ‘Screw Up’ a project in Tech company by Verry Musriana from Gojek Indonesia was also one of the subjects that attracted interest from the participants since he presented about how to execute projects from the perspective of an ex-consultant in McKinsey Company and Indonesia’s first decacorn startup company which is Gojek Indonesia. Marketing excellence with technology was delivered by Argo Wibowo, President Director of InDigital.id, where he explained about his experience in doing marketing from technology. Not only seminars, the Future Leader Academy 2019 also held the company profile of Payfazz and design thinking introduction 1 from Teddy Asril of Deloitte Indonesia. There were also workshops provided depending on the theme that the participant decided to be involved in. There were sociopreneur, technopreneur and edupreneur classes. Participants gather with others according to their respective classes and simulate some projects regarding the classes which brought a lot of joy and inspired brand new knowledge to them. Session ended with design thinking introduction 2 from Heru Prabowo of IPMI International Business School, along with creative games competition, networking session and dinner.

UI GreenMetric Socialization for LLDIKTI Region III

In connection to the Green Campus competition for universities in LLDIKTI Region III, DIKTI held a socialization event “UI GreenMetric Socialization for LLDIKTI Region III” in IPMI Campus on the 13th of August 2019.

UI GreenMetric world University Rankings was establish in April 2010 in order to provide a profile for and way of comparing the commitment of universities towards going green and promoting sustainable operations.


The ranking process has been completed six years since then. It is expected to promote awareness in institutions of higher education regarding the value of putting in place policies and systems that will have a positive impact towards global warming and climate change, particularly those that help reduce carbon emissions through efficient use of energy, alternative forms of transport, greening the campus and waste recycling. Policies and management practices should also include ways of communicating the importance of the endeavor and finding ways involving everyone and helping them to contribute with supportive behavior. This event marks two important thing for IPMI; Gaining Dikti’s trust towards IPMI and IPMI’s start of making the campus green.

Ifrapreneur Business Concept Competition

A piece of good news coming from IPMI Bachelor of Management (BM) students. Bella Scholastica (IPMI BM 2016), Bunga Ludmilla (IPMI BM 2016), Shifa Mahdiya Ainiyah (IPMI BM 2016), and Tania Lasmaya Putritami (IPMI BM 2016) earned the spot as 2nd Winner on the 4th Ifrapreneur Business Concept Competition 2019.

This competition was held on the 17th IFRA 2019 (International Franchise, License & Business Concept Expo & Conference) this July 2019 at Jakarta Convention Center. The competition committee received around 30 proposals from teams from various campuses in Indonesia. Seven teams selected advancing to Coaching Stage and finally, the IPMI team won 2nd place in this competition. Congratulations to the IPMI BM students!
