dear Alumni,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to our premier edition of the IPMI Alumni E-Newsletter. This newsletter serves as your digital “home” where you can connect and reconnect with your former classmates and other alumni, and keep up to date about IPMI and alumni events.

Since its inception, IPMI’s purpose is to develop leaders. We are tremendously proud of what our alumni have all been accomplishing since leaving campus. Many of you have become leaders in your respective fields and we kindly invite you to share your ideas and your opinion in our column ‘IPMI Thought Leaders’.

We also invite you to walk down the ‘Memory Lane’ by providing a column to share your pictures of the beautiful memories during your study at IPMI. In addition, the newsletter will update you on the past and upcoming events held at IPMI campus. Kindly view the upcoming event postings as an invitation for you to attend.

  IPMI Influencer
In this premier edition we would like to present an alumnus who, with the likes of IPMI alumni influencers such as Eko Putro Sandjojo (currently, our country’s Minister of Village, Development of Disadvantage Regions, and Transmigration), and Handry Satriago (currently the CEO of General Electric Indonesia, and named by the Indonesian media as the first “made in Indonesia” GE Leader), have moved many people to achieve success.

He is Mustafa Ishak Jatim, IPMI graduate of 2005 and who happens to be the present Chairman of the Executive Board of Yayasan Pengembangan Manajemen Indonesia.

Mustafa Jatim has had 40 years working experience, mostly in the banking and financial services industry; notably with Citibank Corporate Banking Group in Jakarta.   Event Highlights
For the past three consecutive years, IPMI is awarded the 3 Palmes of Excellence!
latest
To date, IPMI has attracted numerous prestigious business schools who chose us as their partner. Dijon and ISG in France, Catolica Lisbon in Portugal, CEU in Hungary, are amongst some of the schools that have partnered with us. Of the various collaborations, the Exchange Student Program is well-received as many of our partner’s post graduate students have spent one to two semesters studying at IPMI.
At the same time, our undergraduate students have also added-value to their learning experience by studying overseas for the same period. Most recently, Melbourne Business School collaborated with us, and began delivering executive education program in Indonesia with us.
Due to our international “flavor”, a prestigious world business school ranking institution based in France, Eduniversal, have, for the past three consecutive years, placed IPMI in the highest ranked private business school in Indonesia, with a 3 Palmes of Excellence category.

There are only three schools in Indonesia that achieved the three palm status, University of Indonesia, SBM ITB, and IPMI. We are truly proud of this achievement.

Inspiring Talk With Supermodel Petra Nemcova at IPMI Campus
She is one of the world’s most successful supermodels. She is a global brand ambassador for Chopard (one of the world’s most exclusive jewelry brand). And she came to IPMI.

Petra Nemcova’s life and career almost ended in December 2004 when she was a victim of the devastating tsunami in Thailand, clinging on to a palm tree for eight hours as the waves wrecked everything around her.

In early 2018, IPMI formed a collaboration with Happy Hearts, a charity fund founded by Petra Nemcova with a mission to rebuild safe, resilient schools in areas impacted by natural disasters and disadvantage regions. This collaboration is aimed to involve our students, faculty and alumni to help rebuild such schools, in line with IPMI’s value of community involvement.

During the event which was named 'One Brick One Hope', Petra gave a most inspiring talk which led the participants to voluntarily donate some money to rebuilding a school in Kupang. A total of 76 million rupiah was collected at the end of her inspiring talk.

Thank you for your inspiration Petra!

  Bachelor of Business Administration Forum
For nearly 15 years, since 2003, IPMI opened its door to invite high school graduates to become IPMI Bachelor of Business Administration students. To date, we have more than 120 BBA alumni and we are proud to mention that the number of student intakes per year keeps growing.

Our small class of under thirty students, allow our Faculty to maintain an intense interaction with the students. The mixed knowledge of theory and business case-studies and the use of English language as the delivery medium, develops our young students to become professionals with entrepreneurial insights, and also to become entrepreneurs with professional skills.

Our BBA program is also enriched with various Student Affairs activities. A most recent activity is the BOLD competition whereby our students held a digital marketing competition among high school students.
